Surely, the primary use of the above inventions is entertainment, apart from other things. Why use only new methods when books are good enough for most of their uses? Books are an excellent way of entertaining yourself, researching information, obtaining pictures, etc. Many of the tasks done by the Internet could have been carried out with a book.
Battling the Prejudice Against Books
The main problem is the prejudice that books are boring, uncool and old-fashioned.
Indeed, the practice of calling people who love books ‘nerds’ has originated from this idea. However, these people don’t realise that books are of every imaginable category. There is a book for every palate and every wallet.
A Book for Every Reader
From dreamers to thrill-seekers, books offer something for everyone:
- Fairy Tales: Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
- Thrillers: Max Einstein, The 1,000-Year-Old Boy
- Suspenseful Cliffhangers: Nancy Drew’s The Secret Seven
- Magical Mysteries: Harry Potter, Wings of Fire
- Diary-Style Fiction: Dear Dumb Diary, Ella Diaries
- Classic Literature: Shakespeare (Othello), Dickens (David Copperfield), George Eliot (Middlemarch)
The World of Non-Fiction
However, all books are not fiction. A fine number of non-fiction books exist, including.
- Science & History: A Brief History of Time, Egyptology
- Personal Opinions: The Demon-Haunted World
- Autobiographies: Diary of a Young Girl, The Baburnama
- Futuristic Predictions: Nineteen Eighty-Four
- Cooking & Recipes: The Indian Menu Planner
- Philosophy & Chronicles: Old Path White Clouds
Overall, books will make our world a better place. They boost your creativity and give your dreams wings. They also impart more knowledge about a topic that you are researching. With every book comes a vital lesson; after all, the wisdom of the ancients is at the core of each moral. And it is only with tried-and-tested knowledge that our world will improve.
